  • Help with MetaMark transparent vinyls

    Hi

I am looking to create reversed clear internal window stickers and was wondering if anyone knows the difference between these two MetaMark vinyls

    MD3-205 clear
    MD-CR

The price is very different and I suppose I wasnt too sure that MD3-205 clear is really clear

Or has anyone any other suggestions for clear, transparent reversed internal stickers.

    Cheers

If you’re backing with white, then the MD3 clear will be fine. If not, the polyester is
optically clear, so that may be better. Obviously, if leaving clear, the ink will be very
    transparent….

    Thanks Jamie

Yes I think that is the issue, I know if backing with white that the MD3 clear will be fine, so I take it that the MD CR is very clear and would be suitable for graphics that dont have any white in them?

But only if a over print twice?

    Sorry never done this before

    cheers

Even printing in two passes the ink will still be transparent, although more solid.

Yes, that is correct. Metamark will send you a workable sample to test before hand.
I would advise 2 passes, on a slow speed, with high heat.
