    Hi Guys,

I’ve been asked to put up two new signs in place of an existing 10 meter sign as the main shop has been divided in two. To be honest I’m not a fan of shop fronts as I find them more trouble than they’re worth. You never know what’s lurking behind the existing sign.

The guy on the left wants a tray sign fitted and the guy on the right wants a standard frame & dibond sign. I’ve agreed with the owners that the builders will take down the existing sign so I guess what I’m asking is is there anything I can get the builders to do/prep to make my life easier?

I’d just ask that the builder make good any rotten facia or damage they find behind there when they remove it, a nice painted flat ply surface would be nice too, ensures your job goes smoothly and that you won’t have any further costs accosiated with repairs prior to fitting – which you would have to sub out anyway, more often than not.

    I second that..

Get the owners to make good the wooden fascia behind as I have found that over the years one sign on top of another gets fixed to an aging and very dangerous facia.
I currently have a similar job running but the facia is 44 Metres long and hasn’t been looked at for 30 years or more.
