    Hello
i use signlab for versaworks and I have 2 choices for cutting and I always get it wrong first time. there is contour cut and contour cut on/off one way it cuts the outside and the other it cuts both sides – particularly a problem when cutting out letters
you should be able to see the the cutting lines on the right side of your screen in Versaworks.

    Good luck
    Karen

Sometimes quicker to low res trace image to get a vector then ungroup and add boundary

Its quick then just needs tidying up

I was going suggest similar. I trace the item. Merge all the colours together. Then click for no fill and right click on my palette for contor or perf cut. Does need a tidy up from time to time.

I have a small software package (got it off a clipart cd-rom I bought years and years agao) called Vector Magic. Basically, it converts bitmap images into vector graphips. I’m sure that most drawing packages have something like this as part of the program, but I’ve never looked as Vector Magic is more than good enough for my purposes.

So, convert the graphic into a vector. Weld all of the edge of the vector to give a basic outline (both the outside and the inner loop). Delete all of the inner nodes of the drawing until you have a basic silhouette. I would suggest you clean and smooth all of the edges of the silhouette at this point.
Then simply use the contour tool, in Corel, to create the contour which will also create a contour for the inner loop at the same time.
