  • Help sourcing Cutting Matt Supplier please?

    Hi All…

I am looking to see if anyone can recommend any sources for clear cutting mats?
We don’t use them on our tables, but do on our Rollsroller Flatbed Applicator. The trouble is, the current one is showing allot of cuts in it and it is darkening down the clarity of the cutting mat. It is still perfectly fine to work on and use, however, as we lay-up a lot of graphics on it, registering the layers isn’t just as easy because the bed is illuminated and all the cuts in the matt darken it down. easy solution is turn the lights off and use it but would rather not.
i would just go buy one and be done with it but as the bed size is 5 metres x 1.5m wide its a costly matt for all we need it for. been quoted from £420 – £700 so far. Just thought i would ask before committing with someone…

thanks a million for any help / advice on this.

    cheers
    Rob

    Hi,

have you seen the Signgeers cutting mats. I’ll try paste a link below.
They are 1.5m wide and can be 20m in length.

http://www.signgeer.com/product/off-the … g-mats-369 and solarsignsupplies does the clear mats. Both just over £420 also.

But if I’m wrong and have your cutting Matt completely mixed up then please ignore me.

    Regards
    Tas

    Hi Robert,

We get ours from Omar at Mounters mate. Brilliant mats and price was very fair if I’m correct. Give him a call and I’m sure hell give you a price over the phone.

    Hi Rob

We replaced ours about a year ago and at the time the best deal we found was from Sign Making Tools.

Thanks very much for the sources David and Warren.
George I didn’t think of Amari, but you would expect them to do this sort of thing. I will try them all of course. so thanks guys, the help is much appreciated.

I found the problem with polyprop was your blade started to follow previous cuts after a while, you then turn it over to double the life but it’s still not that good.
Even though you g through a lot of blades I still like the glass top I cut onto. Not sure if it’s an option on a roller table though.
