Argghhh… Busiest 2 weeks of the year and I had the engineer out on Monday and now it seems to have gone t*ts up again!

Was printing away quite the thing and then said ‘carriages disconnected’ They weren’t but when I looked I realised that the with each pass it was printed slightly more to the right. Had to switch it all of and having done that and tried to print again it’s doing the same thing. Very gradually stepping to the side… Is thins something I can fix? I hope so cause there’s a massive list of stuff to print!

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Thanks, Gavin

    Gavin,

Try checking the encoder strip inside the printer, make sure it is spotless.

If the strip is dirty, the printhead won’t know it’s position and will gradually shift over as it’s printing.

Machine is striped as we speak, strip is manky even though the engineer cleaned it on Monday! Will post up how successful this is!
