your not with Sky for your broadband by any chance are you Brian?

make sure your pop3 settings are correct,
If you are using outlook express
they will be in
tools>accounts>(your account name) properties> then on the servers tabFor instance my settings are
pophost.123reg.co.uk
smtp.eclipse.co.ukmake sure its a . and not an @ sign too.
your password will be the one you had for your Internet account when you opened it, or if you bought a pop 3 mailbox it will be that one.
If you had bought a pop 3 mailbox it may have lapsed due to non renewal, that will cause mail to be returned to sender.

hmmm steve and glen ……thanks ……glen something you said there strikes a cord. I do work for a local comp shop …..they organized mail hosting via a guy that they do work for . when i asked about a year ago how much i was due him to get him squared up it was always a case of " ill get round to sending you an invoice " but he never did …..i dont know who he is so maybe the best thing to do is to get in touch with the comp shop tomorrow to basically get in touch with him
kind regards Brian him mmm
ps can i host it myself …….or is that up there with perhaps another channel 4 programme of "100 greatest dumest questions ever asked "
ps i could invoice myself 😀 😀 😀

You mean glens comment about sky broadband?
Is that who hosts your email server? -
hi steve ….no im with virgin ….which was previously blueyonder ….telewest
-
In that case if I remember correctly both your pop and smtp settings should be set to mail.virgin.net
have a look.

your website details must be wrong in your uksb profile too
just to let u know Brian… the domain u posted is due for renewal next month… should be small value but then again you might need to renew your hosting also, these are normally yearly.

Check with your ISP for the SMTP and POP3 settings. I was/am with Telewest. Although they have changed to Virgin media, my Outlook still uses the old blueyonder settings.
