  • help please with EGX-300 router?

Posted by CUTAJAR JOSEPH on April 12, 2006 at 7:09 am

I have a EGX-300, and would like to engrave images. In what format it is feasable to send images to the engraver. I tried sending type using my adobe software I use for DTP, it went around it just fine and even circles, just to try and see how it works. But I tried to send a B/W image it started moving all over the x&y and sometimes up and down and stops.
    Any Ideas.

    Thank you in advance,

    Joseph.

They got to be vector images , lines and arcs not dots(raster).
Coreldraw and other engraving packages are the best with this machine. You can drive it directly from Corel if you download the driver. (found at roland support)
http://www.rolanddga.com has an extensive support section with FAQ’s and guides for the machine , its the same as a Pnc 2300a so look under that section too – go to support and either choose legacy items for the 2300a or current for the egx.
There is even a forum there , you need to register.
