  • help please i cannot cut labels which have been laminated?

Have tried, for the first time to cut some labels which have been printed and laminated.

No matter how much I adjust the blade I still cant seem to cut cleanly and weed.

Using a graphtec cutter – any tips – I know I am missing something basic – guess thats what learning is about.

If they have just been printed onto vinyl and laminated then you should just be able to increase the force to get a clean cut. I have done this without any problems at all on a graphtec plotter so maybe you have another problem. Have you tried with a new blade?

    Thanks Martin

Amazing how quickly busy people reply to newbies on this forum!

    Appreciate the help.

Only tried to change the length of blade – will look at force and also try a new blade. First time to change one! Will that stump me too?!

    Thanks

You dont want to change the length of the blade at all, you just need to change the cutting force as you are cutting a thicker material, you should have a panel on the machine where you can change the speed, force, quality and off set. Try increasing the force and use to test cut to see if it has cut cleanly.

    Cheers Martin

    Worked a treat.

Sharing experience of others is a great aid to learning.

    Thanks
