Brian, could be a few things.

Your video card may be on the way out, or your CRT on your monitor may be faulty.

Does it get better or worse if you turn your contrast up?

Monitor problems can be hard to fix, because it could be a dry solder joint.

I doubt it is software related,. most likely hardware.

Move you monitor cable about and see if that fixes it. It could have a dicky connection.

How old is your computer? Have you made any computer setting changes recently? Could be a virus too

Just a few thoughts mate.

Have you tried striking the side of your monitor with the palm of your hand – this usually works 😕

Brian, you could go to Tools-Options-Fonts in Internet Explorer and check the settings… also Tools-Options-Colors, maybe a setting thats been altered by some active scripting on a website you’ve visited like the swedish nympho one 😉

Other than that, percussion adjuster… much like Phill’s approach but with a 12lb sledge hammer to hand, it makes the job less painful for you and is a very effective stress reliever 😀

Yeah, those script get everywhere.

All of a sudden my cutting program “Vinyl Master Pro” wouldn’t open run on the ‘puter. Kept getting an alert box about 16-bit windows sub-system that went right over my head.

Solution: Re-install windows and everything is back to normal

Cant find that swedish website tho’

Thanks dewi mate …i tried what you suggested but no success ….which leads me to the next question …do video cards come in differnt standards …like good bad and ugly ? sorry i dont understand to much about comps .I swicth on comp and go directly to signlab or uk signboards 😀 😀 😀 😳
