    Hi Rich
I`ve seen the car in question. It was air brushed on.

I can do the print and install if you want, the problem is the artwork. Ive no idea where you would start (the wife??)

It would be quite a job finding the right image at a good resolution.(scanning page 3 ‘aint gonna work)
Creating the artwork is gonna cost more than the print and install if it had to be done from scatch. Saying that, once done Iam sure a lot of other mini drivers would like a nice pair on their bonnet!!

Hey, take a look at this : http://www.signdevil.com/pages/spare.htm
We did this job for Smart of Manchester. We were well pleased with the job but the customer picked it and refused to pay. He was so disgusted with the job that when I sent two guys down to very publicly rip it all off, there it was, pride of place in the middle of his showroom. We got great pleasure form causing them maximum shame but that is all.

The point I’m trying to make is this. Be very sure about your ability to wrap before you take a job like that on as like us, you could end up working for nothing. We can all get away with minor marks on a sign which is 20 feet up in the air but when it’s on a car right in your face for the world to see, then that is a whole different ball game.

The job we did on the Smart by the way was perfect. If anybody has worked for car sales / dealerships, you might know where I’m coming from.

There was nothing wrong with it, that’s just my point.

I mean no disrespect to anybody reading this but years ago after being messed about by car dealerships I vowed never to work for another one. I broke my golden rule for this job and got shafted, again !!!

Just how stupid am I? This job took place 12 months ago and it was only last week I was able to stop myself smashing my own face on the wall. I’m better now though, I think.

    CAR DEALERS!
Signdevil has the right idea about some of them.
I don’t waste my time with (franchised) car dealers anymore.
Cheap people with cheap ideas and they want it perfect but cheap.
    That’s my Rant’O’the day! (hot)

Had just the same experience as you Nik, they give it the big “we sell loads and loads of these vans to xyz” and you go away and work out a price to do a decent job only to be told they have some fool doing them for £30 each or some daft amount 🙄
It beats me how people can possibly make a living out of dealing with these sort of outfits.

Having said that to balance the scales a bit, I have worked with a local Peugeot dealer for quite a few years now (family run firm) and they are as good as gold. They rarely ask for discount, always pay on time and spend a reasonable amount through the year too 😆 I think they are very much the exception to the norm though, so any newbies to the game, take note and be wary when you get a call from one of these customers 😉

You’re all mad. These people sell vans. Vans need livery. 60% of what we do is for or via car dealers.
