    i am having a breakdown folks… 😳

    computer problems! argghhh….

Ive just had the sites main computers upgraded to the max, installed all the software and everything is all backed up and easy accessed. brilliant you may think…
all i have to do now is install a new keyboard "which i think was partly to blame on things going wrong i first place"

anyway… i have been using cordless keyboard and mouse for a good while now, never any problems.. spilled some drink on the keyboard one Friday night while on here gabbing t9o you all… and had to buy a new one.

    i went for this one…
    http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ … NTID=10776

basically the same as i had but now connects via blue tooth.
set it up in 5 minutes and away it went… all working just dandy.
my only grind was that i found the mouse pointer to be a bit scatty, some times it floated by the target. after a week or so i started getting annoyed by this, then some things began to go wrong with my computer.
since then, over the past couple of months i have had a build up of problems. mainly BT and emails but adds to the stress. 👿

anyway, as i said… everything is sorted, All is running bang on, so i thought… OK ill load that new keyboard again and give it another go. just in case i didn’t have it synced up as it should have been…
for the past 2 hours now i have tried everything but the bloody thing will not connect to blue tooth device.

blue tooth is saying its installed and all is well…
keyboard and mouse software saying same. but they don’t see each other. 🙄
as i am not the most technical minded guy on the planet i don’t like tampering further than i know as i will undoubtedly fluff something else up and that would just tip me over the edge right now. 😳 :lol1:

anyway… not sure if anyone can help, done the online Q&A’s and the usual stuff… i think this keyboard will now be binned, maybe even mounted on the wall so i can chuck things at it! :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

OK, rant over with… back to PC world for yet another keyboard and mouse in the morning. 😕

    hi nick
yeh done the batteries thing mate, just changed them just incase. the mouse has a dock to charge so that was definately fine…

peter i think i am with you on that one mate, i had a look at them today while buying some software. i think thats the way i will go, i just cant stand wasting more time on these sort of things. i always have the opinion (in most cases anyway) you get what you pay for… this thing cost me about £90 a couple of months ago… :shake:

    hi rob
it may be that your BIOS does not support a USB keyboard, in your BIOS, you might need to enable USB Legacy Support or USB Keyboard support…you’ll need to check with your system manufacturer for information on getting into and using the BIOS

    Rob,

Have you checked that you have the bluetooth dongle in a usb port, not the Belkin one but the Logitech one that would have came with the mouse and keyboard.

thanks for the help nik, sadly… the keyboard, mouse, bluetooth etc is sitting in the corner now, all uninstalled. 😕

ill go out and get a new one tommorrow so i can get on with work on the site. spent too long messing around this week.

andy, yeh had that one in… i made sure the other was out, even the d-link wirless network was out incase it was causing bother. 🙄

Robert….. did you synchronise it? When I put in my wireless keyboard and mouse in I was tearing my hair out trying to get it to work …. what the manual didn’t mention (found out after calling the shop I’d bought it from 😳 ) that you have to press a small button on the underside of the keyboard. It was hidden in behind the ‘legs’……
    ….. just a thought 😕

Had the same problem with Bluetooth and ended up binning it.

Back to Wireless with no problems.

jump man JUMP! get it over and done with so we can go back to our tea. 😀

Ditch the useless wireless/blue tooth systems and stick with cables, you might trip on them but less hassle overall, and no annoying batteries to worry about.
