Would anyone be able to help us to identify this sign font please.

The lettering is 3mm thick on glass so there’s some reflections and perhaps a little camera shudder going on in the picture, but maybe it’s clear enough for someone with an eye for what I think is a modern font on this recently installed sign.

    any help would be appreciated

    Neil 🙂

I can’t quite get an exact match on that one. It looks so familiar though. I’d really like to know what it is. I found a few that are similar. I thought at first it might be an Emigre font, but didn’t find anything that matched. Also it is similar to a lot of fonts done by T.26 and P22 foundries. It’s a little hard to tell because of the double image you’ve posted. Do you have a better photo maybe?

Here’s one that’s pretty close, but the lower case "a" is definitely not the same. The font in the photo you’ve provided has a little bit more of a rounded notch look to it in my opinion as well. If you do find what font it is, please post it. I’d like to add that one to my collection.

    Hey Simon,

That’s the best match so far – I’m going to see if I can get a better picture of the lettering, and re-post it to see if that makes it easier to identify.

    thanks for your help

I managed to identify the font over the weekend thanks to this website

    http://www.myfonts.com/

you post a copy of the text which is automatically scanned and offers you a match, and if that doesn’t work it will then post it onto a specialist typefont forum.

really pleased how it all worked

    thanks for everyone’s help
