  • Help! Beige colour turns greenish when laminated

    Hello
I just printed a pavement sign, I spent some time matching the colour with the roland colour system to get it just the right tone of beige specified. This is my first job for a chain of vets, with half a dozen outlets around New Zealand, so quite a good one for me to get right.

It printed fine on my sp540v using versaworks, on ORACAL 3551 rapidair.
But when I laminated it, using 215 Oraguard, it turned green!

I tested this with the other laminates I regularly use, and they all gave this beige colour an unpleasant hint of green.

Has anyone else had this issue, and if so how did they get around it?

    Simon

We have the same problem. Spoke to suppliers of the laminate and they said colour change will occur with all light coloured print.

So not a lot that can be done -apart from make corrections at the printing stage which would be……. a lot of hassle !

similar problem using Image Perfect matt clear on top of print… it went green

using avery products now without any major problems

only answer is to print a roland test chart and them lam in oracle and take new values back to your design software
