  • Help & Advice needed on Wasatch RIP software please?

Posted by John McNickle on November 22, 2011 at 1:50 pm

hi i have just got wasatch softrip, nice software but when i bring in a file as exact size, check there is no crop box, set material size and output etc, hit rip and it comes out 3 times the size? is there something selected or turned on that would do this, its very frustrating

    Thanks
    John

Well 100 Scale percent in the Size tab on the left of the screen and in the Imaging Configuration on the Right hand side of the screen "Scale Adjustments (percent)" should be not ticked.

Some printer drivers can do this also, e.g. a bad JV3-160S 720 profile sometimes prints at the default 180resolution, which doubles the size on the printer. (see this in shriaz)

cheers guys for getting back so fast 🙂 i think its as dave says, its a profile thing.. im printing to a valuejet 1204 and the only thing i changed here is in the profile i set it to "banner 3" setting instead of "banner 4" and now its printing fine, a good bit slower but fine

and you matched model / printer driver right? e.g. i had a Mimaki JV3-160S which is different to a JV3-160SP

my engineer did it, he put in all the settings for the machine and loaded all the profiles as he is an agent for wasatch
