hi – could someone take a look at this file of a logo i am partway through and maybe explain where i am going wrong?

i need to fill the two halves of the circle either side of the jagged line with red – but have lost the ability to do so.
    this has happened before.

i have tried allsorts to rectify it,

    cheers.

Is it for printing or cutting?

you need to join the lines, they are broken apart

If you use the Powerclip to fill the shape you will see a line running across the whole image….not sure how to solve that without redrawing it.

i haven’t looked at the file, sorry, but from what you say, and the responses, i’m guessing you need to make 2 halves of a circle different colours / fills,

if you’ve got a zig zag line across it, draw a box which has one line through the circle, convert to curves and add your nodes / zog zags on the line crossing the circle, select all, then intersect, remove the box, and you’ll have a new ‘half’ ontop of the circle, you can weld / trim to make two perfect halves, or just leave the half circle ontop of the whole circle.

i hope that makes sense, sounds complicated, but would take just a minute or two.

    thanks for the replies guys

ian – it’s for printing and cutting, as he wants it on stationary and labels along with signs and banners

harry – not sure about the powerclip function

hugh – i’ll have a go at working through your description later- it sounds like it makes sense. i think what i have been doing wrong previous is for such as this – drawing a circle, manually inserting the lines, then using the shape tool to break apart – but – not joining the lines as ian noticed.

although its prob not good practice – its only become a problem here as i needed to fill with colour to print from it as well as cut.

daveyboy – perfect – thanks – i can get on with it while i suss out the proper techniques 😀
