Hello everyone! (be gentle, I’m new here) Could any of you professionals possibly help? I own a small but successful window tinting company nearing expansion and I have always wanted to get back to vehicle graphics & signwriting, but am very out of touch nowadays!! I came across your messages to one another today and had to join to ask your professional advice (if you’ll let me in the circle??). Could anyone kindly let me know their thoughts on full colour printing machinery as I am currently looking at purchasing a eco-solvent Mutoh Rockhopper2 and Summa cutter!! It was great to read how you are helping one another with the messages…anyway, I look forward to hearing from someone if any of you have time?? I hope there is no Initiation…!!!!!

    Hey Roger,

Welcome to the site. I know you’ll get all the info you need to get back on track with sign making right here.

Wow another window tinter. I was in the UK in ’88 and no one had even heard of tinting…Amazing huh? I went to a couple of car dealerships and did some vehicles to see if any interest could be generated with a view to opening a couple of stores over there. Then my dad got sick with diabetes (family business) and then October 89 stock market crash all got put on the shelf. I’ve been tinting since 16 years old…And I’m getting tired 😆 😆 😆 .

As an aside…What is the visible light transmittence allowed on UK vehicles? I’m just nosey.

Hi Roger. Welcome to the UK signboards 😀

There has been quite a lot of discussion here on colour printing. The Roland Versacamm has created a lot of interest and there has been a lot said about this machine. I’m sure you’ll find a lot to interest you if you read through many of the posts in the digital printing forum. Good luck with your plans to expand the business
