hello from Worcester
Hi everyone. I’d like to introduce myself as this is my first post.
My name is Kevin & I’m based in Worcester. I have raided this forum for information on numerous occasions & hope to find an answer to a problem.
I have recently treated myself to the big Keencut steeltrak which I found for sale not too far from me. It came with the v groove attachment included, which swung the deal
For me as I’ve spent a fortune on sign trays in the past & I quite like the idea of making my own ( can’t remember the last time I did one under 8′ though, maybe I really did just want a new toy). My problem is that now I’ve got it in my workshop
& cut down every offcut of dibond in the building into business card sized pieces, the v groove attachment only seems to work on very small cuts, it doesn’t seem to work on anything 2′ or over, I’m getting a variety of depths on a single cut. At present I’m feeling a bit deflated over my new kit, convinced myself & the staff (my wife, & apprentice/son that it was a good buy, only to have them accuse me of buying a 9′ Stanley knife. Can anyone spare my blushes, I’ve already wasted £200 on a Chinese banner welder, 3 strikes & I’m out.
Looking forward to any advice.
