Hello! From Vancouver BC

Hi everyone! Im a newby at the sign business and am going to be needing alot of help. I am a web designer and I am now trying my hand at a sign shop. My boss just bought a gerber edge so I will be taking training in that pretty quick. I am a little nervous because dont really know the printing end of things as I am more “web wise” .
I think this is a great site and look forward to chatting with some of you in the future!

Hey a web-designer nerd like me Woohoo!!
Are you educated as webdesigner or multimedia professional?

We started very much the same, I am educated as multimedia speciallist from multimedia school of iceland and got a job at a company called Artis as a graphic designer and working on a printer called Summa dc2. I know what you are going through because I was in same shoes. Learning how the printer works and how to make the best prints…. well almost.

I think you will find all the help you need here, I got trouble with my printer and everyone wants to help. Do you have any personal portfolio on the net that I can look at? I’m not allowed to view user profiles 🙁
