    Hi all,

Ok so I’ve been on these boards for a few months now and finally managed to upload a picture so thought I would officially say hello on here!

As some of you know my Dad was a regular poster here and ran his own sign writing business. Following his passing my family have taken on the company to keep it running. Day to day I am still employed in my previous job whilst the manager and my Mum run the sign writing business with my family as Directors. However long term I will hopefully make the transition to the business in the next 12 or so months full time. Until then I’m doing both, learning the industry from the bottom up.

As a point of interest my current job is in a solicitors office as I am halfway through a Law degree so if anyone has any legal queries, please give me a shout!

I hope to learn a lot from these boards as well as making some new friends in the process.

    Hi Ben

Glad to hear you keeping the company alive, to a lot of us here it’s our last link to John’s memory.

    Good luck

    Cheers

    Hi Ben,
    glad Corby Grafix is continuing.
your old man put a lot into it.

I’m sure you will get all the help you need from the boards, just ask.

co incidently. I have just read another thread posted by Paul Hughes. your dad would never have called himself a sign writer, but something like a vehicle livery specialist, and would shudder a bit, hearing you refer to his business as sign writing.

So thats lesson one over with 😀

Thank you for pointing out the faux pas!! I did wonder once I had posted if anyone would pick up on that. In my defence he did have sign writer on his first business cards when he set up, back when I was 8 or 9. 🙂

Lynn – it was worth it but right now I wish it was someone else who had it done! Pain will go down soon though.

Nice to meet you Ben, I don’t think I have ever replied to a ‘say hello’ post before but in this case I will, so welcome to the boards.

Ben, greetings from sunny Glasgow, all the very best, I am sure you will be a success, and given your legal background, I would imagine debt collection will not be an issue ! regards Graham Shand

Had the pleasure of working for your Dad, more special to me as he opened up for me on the sad day he passed away, regarded him as a friend foremost.

Hope to meet you soon too Ben. (If only to see the tat!)

    Matt
