Hi guys, I’m new to this site. I’m from oz. I’m mainly into motocross graphics, I’m using a 300v and sign wizard. Keep up the good work with this site. It’s a great resource,

Hi mate, I use sign wizard also, have vinylmaster and signlab but find wizard the easiest to use, just upgraded to version 6, takes a bit of getting used to after years of the old 4.1. Just purchased Illustrator CS2 as well, now thats gonna take some learning, probably never will have time unfortunatetly.

Moto x graphics are coming along. There is a few guys reverse printing with true solvents onto soft pvc (coffee shop curtain clear pvc) and then laminating transfer adhesive onto print side. The key is to find a low surface energy adhesive or vinyl that will last more than a few races. Good market though as graphics will always get damaged,,,, repeat work.

    Good luck with it all.

I started with Sign Wizard from the very beginning. Not upgrading to V6 though, coz I think its just as cheap to use Corel x3 and V5 together. Much cheaper 😕

My last sign shop had the 3 user version, at the time we were the biggest installation behind Carton United Brewery. It was before CASMATE became popular, and all the others out there now. We used the CASMATE Dos version before windows 3.1 came out. Now that was hard work compared to today.

The Signwizard sales guy was brilliant at the time, I still see him around as he heads one of the big Flat Bed agents here in Oz, but when he gave the agency away, the new people were not a patch on his expertise, so sign guys were swayed elsewhere. Its a real pity because as it is very good software, even the older 4.1 version stacks up well even now.

Brooke, You pretty much described how i do my graphics so i was wondering if you have any knowledge of the die cutting process. I currently hand cut them.

    Hi Rod,

Yeah I actually work for Brian as my main job and do my graphics after hours. I’m starting to pick up more and more work but not enough to work full time for myself yet. I lost my leg in a bad bike accident two years ago (i used to race) and by doing graphics i still get to be involved with everything…
If you let me know your email I’ll send ya a pic through.

    Cheers Scott.

That’s because us Aussies are painfully shy mate. I’m a perfect example of that 🙄 😉

hhmm.. not sure I’d like one of my employees doing his own thing after hours 😛 Sorry to hear about your leg tho Scott. Do you work with a prosthetic limb mate? Guess it adds an element of difficulty to some jobs.
