Just want to say hello to everybody here.

I’ve been working in the industry for about 18 years.

Initially a screen printer, after my employer bought a Spandex Sprint, I thought “I could do a better job of working that machine, and keep my hands clean!”. That sort of swung me through making ruby possies and their related stencils to where I am now.

I’ve produced screen printed exhibition material, estate agents’ For Sale boards, fascia signs, Perspex window displays, vehicle liveries etc. etc.

Currently I’m working as a sort of pre-press production artist for a company that specialises in reflectivity. We make temporary, roll-up road signs and badges for high visibilty garments…anywhere from a 900mm Chinese “man at work” sign, to an inflatable “Crash Bandicoot” welded onto t-shirts.

I don’t do a lot of regular sign work/vehicle graphics these days, but we’ve just got a PC600, mostly for prototyping, so I’ll probably be hanging around to pick up some advice on that…

    Richard
