Hi, well I thought it only right to introduce myself after the friendly response from my first posts.

I am a qualified Architectural Technician (lapsed!) lol, I used to work in Local Government and ended up moving into computers as CAD manager. A designer/artist, I first did some signwriting 20 years ago, had a painter/decorator friend who couldn’t do it so I used to do all his. He painted a church once and the back wall had the Lords prayer in 2 foot Old English lettering. he had to paint over it so “in at the deep end” to redo it!

I am now in the process of converting an outbuilding in my house to an art studio to basically work from home. I am not intending to go into the sign making business, but may consider one-offs or favours for friends (not freebies lol).

I found this site initially looking for advice on buying a cutter/plotter with the emphasis on plotter for my needs. I will post what I am looking for in the Vinyl Cutters section. You have already thankfully steered my away from a Roland STIKA. 😀

    Hi David 😀

Hope you find what you’re looking for plotter wise. Outbuilding conversion sounds cool, like a den of sorts 😉
