whatever you do make sure you buy a swing away and not a clam press. it will be much easier for you in the long run. image placing graphics on a tee being able to see what you are doing as you can swing away the top. now imagine the top part of the press always in your way with a clam press.

Hi Shaun
If it’s any help, I have a Europa, which are made here in the UK by Jarin Industries (I bought direct from them).
Not sure of the model number, it’s the ‘sports’ one with a large platen, and a small one for kids things.
I don’t find any disadvantage in that it’s a clam type, there’s plenty of room – and I always place my designs and tape them before putting them on the press anyway 🙂 .
Do be aware that you need twice the room – or so I’m told for a swing away.Hope this helps in your decision 🙂 🙂

Same as Barbara here too. Europa HF 4500 sports press, the base is set forward so it can go inside the shirt and is great for polos as you can use the smaller base and the button areas fall to the side. It has 2 interchangeable bases and I also bought one with no rubber and also a separate section of rubber about 4" – 5" this is good for just pockets and the levels remain correct. The HF 4500 also has a Teflon coated top heated platen so double pressing is no problem and no separate Teflon sheet is required.
I’ve had mine many years, positioning is not a problem and requires less room, after market from Jarin/Europa is excellent. From what I understand the Adkins press is also a very good press but I think you do need a Teflon sheet to be on the safe side.
