hi guys, having problems printing my health and safety signs, when i try to print them in vector they come out purple (the blue mandatory ones) my illustrator opens in rgb mode all the time but when i change the colour mode in documents to cmyk it makes no difference, if i drag and drop the vector file into illustrator as a flattened image it then prints in blue but i cannot edit the file, any help appreciated. many thanks in advance. shawn

    Hi
you could have an embedded profile causing the issue upon export or the rendering intent in your RIP could be set to saturation and will sometimes change the colour. The reason why the flattened image prints blue is normally because the rendering intent for Raster is set to Colourific or Absolute.

What printer & rip are you using

    Shawn
when you export is the box for embedded profile ticked as said could be a problem.
Re the rendering intent i’ve attached a Roland PDF don’t know what settings you have at the moment but may need to have a play, you can set custom profiles & save to reload later. Have a read it may give you the answer also what CMYK mix is the blue

Shawn, below is a good starting point as custom preset to go back to original preset you can just click whatever preset you are using

    Roland Sign RGB
    Euroscale
    Colourific
    Colourific

    Preserve primary unticked
    Embedded profile ticked

Sounds more like the blue has too much magenta in
