    Hi Josh,

what machine are you using for cutting and how long do you wait in between the printing, laminating and cutting.

I am using a Mimaki JV160-sp printer…material I am using is orajet 3621 and laminate Optima 3 mil laminate…I am printing it and letting it set for about 20 min then laminating it..after I laminate I take it to plotter (mimaki CG-160 FX plotter. I tried using a 30 degree, 56 degree, and fine cut blade to do so…I found that the 30 degree blade did better than the rest of them…(what angle blade would you recommend)…

    Thanks,

It is advised to leave solvent prints a minimum of 24hrs before laminating to allow for out-gassing.
until the vinyl has properly cured you are opening up a can of worms to all sorts of problems. one being the vinyl turns to an almost chewing gum like state. i.e. its is very soft, stretchy and tends to shrink/curl a bit once cut.
having laminating it all you are doing is trapping the solvent… i would guess your problems will mainly be down to this.
however, remember your now cutting twice the thickness of vinyl. you will need a good sharp blade. i would advise doing several test cuts before proceeding to cut the job, as you may have to add a little pressure.
