Obvious question really, but did it come with all the software with the drivers on it etc? If not, does the supplier have a website where you can download the drivers? Apologies if that sounds a bit lame but I’ve never heard of the plotter make before?

What interface is it? Serial, parallel or USB?

    David:
There are two cables from which to choose; parallel and serial. IĀ“m using parallel on LPT1 port.

    spooky:
It did come with all the software (that I know).

There is this controlpanel on top of the device, that has buttons to operate.
I quess one should be able to move the bladeholder left and right using the arrows even without the cutter being hooked up (I may be wrong here…)

Those buttons with arrows should definately move the carriage left and right and operate the roller beneath the carriage (up and down). If they don’t then you have a problem with the machine regardless of being hooked up to your PC. In other words, you should be able to set the machine ready to take instructions from the PC independantly. Time to speak to your supplier?

Can you really buy equipment of this nature, on which your business depends, and not get any kind of instruction manual or supplier support?

So I presume you have the cable and it is connected to PC now?

Might be an idea to try the serial cable as they work better, especially over longer distances (3m+)
Is it a 7pin to 7pin serial or 25 pin?

    Cheers,

    Gwaredd.

    pshaw:
All the manuals, all the software and customer support are ok (only problem is that the seller is in usa and IĀ“m not).

    šŸ™ Found it!
Most likely it was dropped during shipment…

Marko, that does not look very pretty, is that circuit board cracked in the middle?

    Good luck
