  • has anyone got any ideas on changes to colour/layout?

    Hi All,

Wondering if you could help me with this one please. Friend had just bought a royal blueish colour VW Transporter (new shape), that he wants sign written. His logo is attached below as an EPS, which I’m not really that keen on, and he’s quite insistant on keeping the writing red with a shadow, but I’m trying to tell him it won’t look that great on a blue van. Anyway, anyone got any ideas on changes to colour/layout that could improve things. I’ve just roughly put the details on the van as a JPEG below.

Thanks for any help as always.

    Ali 😀

Hi Alistair, brains a bit numb at the moment could you get your freind to have a white or lighter coloured outline around the red ?? I agree with you I really don’t like red and black on blue.

Can’t open that for some reason in illustrator, corel draw leaves me with only a quarter of that logo! Yeah, I was thinking maybe a white shadow behind the red, or put a white border around the whole lot, or just the sticky out bits with the red & black on blue…

if customer wants the logo to stay as is,
maybe use a white background on side of van…possibly print entire panel with a vw bug or bus faded in… 😕

like below with a bit more work to tidy up…

    regards,
    brian

Brian’s option looks the best or the other option of outlining everything in white other than that i’m stumped unless he lets u change that red to some other colour…because red & blue will look disastrous
