    Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has come across a textured, mat vinyl which is used in the Vehicle Body Repair trade.

This vinyl is usually dark grey/black in colour and it used around door frames, windows and other areas of cars and trucks to give a sort of mat, textured finish.

It`s similiar in feel to frosted vinyl only a little rougher to touch.

When we repair a commercial vehicle and repaint the door for example, we have to order this from the manufacturer and it is regulalry a "back order" item which means a long wait. I`d loike to be able to stock some and cut it to suit as and when the need arises.

Anyone came across this type of vinyl before?

    Hi Rob,

The white arrows point to the areas on the Scania which have this textured vinyl i`m on about. It comes factory fitted but if we do a repair on the door or fit a new door, its a hassle getting new stuff for it.
