I’d like to get it as it has ‘smoothing’ like Illustrator/Corel etc. which is the one thing that bugs me with earlier versions.

It does have it on Flexi 7.5 but I find it doesn’t work properly.

    HI Peter,

We are using Corel 12 and x3.

for the design side of things,
We have a lot of jobs supplied to us using Illustrator and Photoshop.
Also plenty ( probably like everyone else ) low res jpegs supplied
they want printed or vinyl cut.
Flexi 8 seems to really bridge the gap hopefully better than what we experince now. With emailing artwork and setting up art templates is very easy with flexi, outlines and changing artwork fonts, etc is unreal.
Also have actual vinyl colour charts / swatched instead of just pms and other misc. swatches
many more just can’t think right now, to early in the day for that. LOL

    For the production side.
Vinyl cutting and grouping of jobs is very good.
at present we use Signtools, OK but wanted somthing more a little more guts. Works great on our laser and multicam.

Haven’t gone for the printer rip program and we are going to use
    Colorip 2.2 for CMYK+O + G techink upgrade.
but I beleive it is a great rip program.

We haven’t used a full on signmaking program since about 1998 /99
    which was a a program called SIGNUS – URW+.
was german based. worked very well and was acurate.
Wasn’t windows friendly, wasn’t progressing so we ditched it for corel products untill now.

Dont’ get me wrong Corel is fansastic and has been very good for us.
we could just see a need for Flexi in our shop and have decided to
    use it.

WIll post an update when we are up and running and let everydbody know
    how it goes

    thanks for the reply

Used SIGNUS, excellent software for digitizing. Only recently replaced with Signlab for digitizing.
