Posted by Peter Cox on February 8, 2013 at 8:49 amJust had a flyer from William Smith advertising isee2 total wrap vinyl which I believe is manufactured in Belgium, has any one used it or know of it?

I’ve used it for odd bits & bobs but not for a complete wrap. When I first spoke to William Smith about it I was told it was the same material that 3m use to use for one of their wrap vinyls but withdrew because they weren’t completely happy with it.
Didn’t have any problems with it & was thinking about buying a bit more while the offer is on to do some bits on my own car.
Was the cast carbon fibre & the matt black I used. -
ive been interested in this material too, there is a review on the william smith site of a company using the isee2 vinyl, and they seem to like it,
really like to try it out before i use to for a full wrap

There are some instruction video’s featuring iSee2 on iSigntube.

Just a quick question does this material have air channels, or is it a permanent adhesive ?
Thanks

I honestly can’t remember lol, will be up at the unit tomorrow so will check then unless someone answers your question in the mean time.

The calendered carbon range does have air channels.
All of the range has a semi permanent adhesive which allows the film to be removed without leaving adhesive. The material can be removed under controlled conditions for up to a period of 3 years.
The adhesive is very very dry which gives a low initial grab so not too instantly tacky.

Your wrap site also tells our customers how much the material is and how easy it could be to fit plus a how to do it video.
So are you selling to anybody at those prices

Hi Peter. I have used the isee2 wrap film for a part wrap on a BMW. Found it conformed really well to curves and was quite a nice film to work with. Will probably use it again for smaller jobs, couldn’t comment on doing a full wrap as yet… 😮
