    Hi All

My name is Michael and I work for an advertising agency in Adelaide, South Australia.

We have just purchased a brand new Roland VersaCamm 540 and we are keen as ever to maximise it’s full potential.

Having worked in the graphics industry for over ten years on the design side I have worked closely with signage companies and have a small grasp on available stocks and what is used for what, but having started to play with this machine I am beginning to realise there is a whole lot more to learn.

Our current signage supplier is helping where they can as this machine is not really interfering a great deal with the stuff they produce for us, but still there are a few things which they can’t even answer 🙂

I am sure you will hear screams of help soon 🙂

    Cheers

    Michael

    Hi and Welcome
Will take you couple years to fully understand how it works and run it blind folded.
A they don’t print single colour B&W I only knew that last Week :S
B They don’t like to be off work
C Print yourself a colour Chart if you wanna control Colour matching ETC
D Keep it clean from dust
E Just go for it You gonna have to do a lot of mistakes in order to learn.

Need help Let me know i have a SC 540 runs like a horse i love it before my husband lol

    Hi All

And thanks for the warm welcome!

Thanks also for letting me know it doesn’t do single colour black & white.

I assumed if you sent a job with 100% black and no other CMYK colour it would not use a composite black, but now I know otherwise – Cheers 🙂
