New pub sign that I completed today, its for a roadside, the customer is fitting himself 😕 Painted background, all vinyl lettering, the anchor cut from 18mm thick material gilded & painted with 1shot, a bit of white polyprop rope for effect (79p from Homebase 😆 ), sold for £300.

That looks really nice, the only bits I don’t like are the four flourishes in the corners, they just seem out of place. Otherwise can’t fault it!

    Top stuff Steve,
    Is the background airbrushed? Sprayed?
I would be interested to know how you get customers to agree on commissioning a sign which is obviously worth every penny of the £300 because all the customers I get say is”Whats the cheapest you can do mate!”

Excellent sign, hopefully I come back from the sign school doing signs like these.”what da think Mike?”

    Cheers

    VERY NICE MR BROUGHTON.

NOT SURE ABOUT MOUNTING IT TO FRONT OF VAN, OR ARE WE MISSING OUT ON A NEW ADVERTISING ANGLE?

    .

Yes it came to me whilst looking for some where to lean the sign and take a photo, drawbacks are that it would be difficult to park and also the amount of squashed bugs, rabbits, old people etc. would make it difficult to keep clean 😕 also it was either leant against my van or a ruddy great tractor 🙂

Henry the background is Medite Exterior.

Johnny S I’ve found that when a customer asks “Whats the cheapest you can do mate!” I give them a tin of old paint, a knackered paint brush and tell them to “eff off” 😀
