This is one I finished the other day.
Customer was replacing a badly peeling vinyl sign, wanted a new look.
These were the options I gave her.
The second pic is the file modified after her comments.

Here is the final design she chose, with an added border.
I had to adjust the border to fit the text when I actually painted it.
Sorry about the squishy final pic.
    My office is small!

I think the first “classic” sign looks good the the first “corporate”.

but everyone has there own preferences..

final sign look pretty tidy tho’

    good work :thumbup2:

    Nice work Jill!!
Yeah the original concept was the first classic style sign. Jill tells me she did a 180 on her and then had to do up some more renderings. Darn Picky Customers!!!! I still like the more corporate clean look.

It did turn out nice and clean!

    Thanks folks.
I liked the flowery one too.
But the customer is always right.
Here’s another shot of the office for ya Cue Ball.
Those diamond shaped inserts are copper leaf.
    Leigh, you look fab!

    😳 😛
    why thank you ladies
    (it’s only about 8 years ago though 😉 )

Jill I have to ask some details if you don’t mind
    is that all 1shot?
do you cut a mask, like gerber mask, or do you plot/graph that out
    (pounce?)
and what do you prime with

I willlllllll learn to do this one day
    what a great talent!!

Hi Leigh, can I add you look fab as well! 😀

Oh and so does the sign Jill, oh and you do to! This can be the Jill and Leigh appreciation society thread :lol1:

Yes you can’t beat a good hand painted sign for the right location and job. We have seen a few more on here recently, nice to see.

Leigh, I got this substrate thru Pioneer Supply.
It’s called Sign White, factory finished ¾” plywood, good both sides.
It’s worth it to me to pay about $75/sheet for good thick 2-sided.
But when I do use plywood, I buy A/C (good one side)
sand it with an orbital sander, prime it with Latex exterior primer,
sand again, then finish with one coat (usually) of 1-Shot lettering enamel.
I fill in the edges with exterior wood putty and sand them too.
Then I either draw on the layout (like in the old days BC)
or make a pounce pattern on my plotter,
    or sometimes I project.
This particular sign was painted mostly with Ronan Lettering Enamel.

Do you ever use stencil mask vinyl Jill, instead of pounce pattern?
    Cheers
