I just saw this video loaded up by Pierre Tardif from Quebec City. His calligraphy is brilliant. He hosted the French Kiss a Brush letterhead meet a few years back. Pierre is a terrific signwriter and a really nice guy. http://www.youtube.com/user/ptardifinc
There are a lot of interesting videos on YouTube. Just search "hand lettering" and "gold leaf".

Hi Duncan, agree with you there, Pierres’ window splashes are something else too. Not something you see alot of over here.

Good examples of pinstriping on YouTube too.

    Thanks for posting that, Duncan.
I was disappointed Pierre didn’t speak. He has a great accent!
I love it when he calls.
His meet was fantastic, and so is his lettering.
It is fun to get a card from him.
He mainly did window splashes for many years, but now has embraced his love of old signs and produces some fantastic stuff including things for movie sets.
He will be hosting a hand lettering boot camp at Donald Thompson’s(another swell fellow) in South Carolina.
It would be well worth attending.
Pierre is using one of those funky calligraphic markers, and he also knows his way around a brush.
He is about the same height as Rob Lambie, BTW.
    🙂
    Love…..Jill
