Here’s the Halifax logo. Do you mean the font contained in this? They use
Congress Sans in some of their PDF brochures for the body copy, but I’m
not sure if this is what you’re after.

Hi Jamie,
thanks for the logo. My customer has asked for an alternative to the logo you sent me. They just want the wording ( Halifax plc ) and i wanted to know what font Halifax use because knowing my luck if i just pick a basic arial or something it will be wrong.

Back in the late eighties and early nineties. When the company I worked for had the Halifax contract, the text was a mixture of Gill Sans Extra Bold and I think one letter or two from the Futura family. But that was a long time ago when they were a building society and a property services. You know, when their signs were green and before that their signs were a nasty grey with red letters. They also had a 60/40 percentage of the white and red lines to give more red than white showing.

We used to run a Graphix 4b and System48 plus from Spandex back then. Oh the good old days. lol
