    thanks

If it’s Illustrator, check that you have selected the layer that you want to put guides on.

    Hi John,

I have flexi as well – and went to check. On one of my files, I had the same as you whereby the locked symbol on guides came on – but when opening a new file, the guides were fine. As a stopgap can you cut and paste the existing elements of your file into a new file?

If I get a chance I’ll try and take another look

Had another look on flexi (am on version 11 sp6) . Went to view/show/show guides. That turned the guides on and off.

If you are saying that your option to turn on (or off) show guides is greyed out then not sure what to suggest…
