I’m trying to help a guy with a graphtec set it up.
He’s using Flexisign Starter 8 and running it on a PC with Vista.
The laptop is connected to the graphtec via a USB cable but for some reason we get the following message appear when sending to cut through the production manager:

    "Runtime Error App2.exe"

I’ve spoken t o Graphtec and was told it could be a Firewall issue, so changed the settings for this, but still the same error. Anyone able to help?

    Have you spoken to Flexi?
or the people that supplied it?
They are normally the best people to help with set up problems.

he has spoken to Graphtec who i believe are Flexi agents, i’m sure it is subject to what version of Flexi 8 you are using. If i remember correctly it has to be 8.5 upwards to work with Vista otherwise production manager won’t work which is why you get the App 2 error. Hope this helps

I’ve tried graphtec so thanks peter.
I think it’s version 8, could be 8.5 but not sure as it’s a customers.

I’ll check and update it if it’s not.

    Thanks kevin

I was just thinking aloud Kev.
if graphtec supplied flexi they should be able to advise on the issue, other than just saying its a "firewall problem"
Graphtec may not have supplied the software, even though they are agents, or indeed the plotter, Rocky did not make this clear.
that is why I suggested the supplier as the first port of call.
If Graphtec supplied both, then they would be obliged to help.

Graphtec have always given me 1st class service regarding the hardware, I use signlab, so cant vouch for their software help,
