Graphtec Download virus?
I am trying to download the latest version of Cutting Master with a plugin for corel X4 from the graphtecamerica.com site but my antivirus software is detecting a win32/small trojan in the file and recommends quarantine.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? A quick search of the web shows some who say its not a virus and others that say beware.

Apparently some anti virus softwares seem to detect a virus but there isnt one there. I have spoken to Jeff from Graphtec GB and he says its a common thing and the software should be clean.

Sorry I dont use cutting master I use Flexi sign, but Jeff said it should be fine, he was out at a customers place so couldnt give me much of a reply sorry

Latest version is v1.5 and it’s fine with X4 as im using it with no problems.

I have just spoken again to Graphtec Uk and they have confirmed what Jayne said so I think I am going to chance it. If all goes wrong I will let you know – assuming my computer is working 😕

I had exactly the same Colin. Norton picked it up on one machine and McAfee on the other. I removed them both from quarantine. Seem to recall this is a known issue on the Graphtec forums.

Just to update, I am now running latest 1.6 version with Corel X4 without any evident problems. The new version seems much faster than the 1.2 and has automatically imported my old settings (please note Cadlink and Corel!) and ironed out some bugs with spacing etc.
AVG had to be disabled to allow installation and I am currently carrying out a system check just to be on the safe side, but so far so good.
Thanks goes to Graphtec GB & US who both repsponded quickly to my queries on this.
