    I haven’t tried this myself so it’s only what I have read on other forums I use (not sign related). If you run windows 7 Professional or ultimate then the XP mode works pretty well with a lot of software. But as I say it’s not a signmaking forum so don’t know how good it would be with something like advantage.

    I highly doubt it.
    My GA6.2 won’t run beyond Win98SE as far as I can tell.
    Hopefully Tony Teveris will chime in, he’s a Gerber rep and very knowledgeable.

    The last company i worked for used GA6.2 with win98SE, the only other operating system we could get it to work with was win2000, with XP we found it caused problems with reliability with GA freezing or sometimes the menu bar disappearing.

    if i remember correctly the installer is not compatible with the newer windows and quite possibly the dongle also

    had the menu bar disappear a few times, but just do a reinstall and it’s ok

    Noel, so ur saying the GA6.2 will install on win7? without any "work-a-rounds"

    no, not w7, just xp. an older pc that i just use for cutting on a fastrack, do the job on another pc in omega and transfer to an older version of a plt file

    GA will not work on Windows 7. You might get it to install with a lot of twist and turns but you will not get any support. Omega is the only way to go, lots of new features, etc.

    well i remember trying to get it to install on XP, it failed and I had to upgrade to Omega
