Grafityp hit Pole position with Champ Car Livery

Grafityp, one of the worlds most respected suppliers of self-adhesive vinyl, printing media and laminates have recently teamed up with Champ cars Belgium based Conquest racing team to further promote and advertise its excellent GrafiPrint range of products.

The new green and white custom designed livery will feature Grafiprint Digital Printing Materials as the primary sponsor across the side-pod. Grafiprint is a product brand of Grafityp Self-Adhesive Products, which boasts more than 60 years of service in the sign industry.

The Grafityp group occupies more than 400,000 sq ft of modern production facilities in Belgium that house four coating lines and one casting line. These facilities allow them to strive for perfection, which is also endorsed by their ISO-9001 quality label. Grafityp has 2 subsidiaries in Europe, the UK and Spain, and delivers its materials through distributors all over the world.

Grafityp’s roots can be found in Amsterdam (Holland), where Stanserij Holland was founded back in 1945 by the father of today’s CEO. As premises soon became too small in Amsterdam, the company moved to Houthalen (Belgium) in 1969, and its name was changed to GRAFITYP Leaders in Lettersystems N.V. In 1984, Grafityp Leaders in Lettersystems was the first company to launch a sign cutting system completely controlled by PC (named CSR: Computerised Sign-making Robot).

From 1988 on, Grafityp started producing and distributing more and more self-adhesive films (Grafitack), a branch for which the new Grafityp division GRAFITYP Selfadhesive Products would later take responsibility. At the start of 1996, Grafityp launched their high-quality cast films named GRAFICAST. By the end of 1997, sales of self adhesive films had grown to such an extent that Grafityp also launched a completely new series of Grafiprint digital printing media and laminates under the GrafiPrint banner.

All Grafityps products are available in the UK from their UK subsidiary Grafityp UK Ltd. The UK Company also offer a full range of associated products to the sign and print industries, and are one of the leading suppliers of Sisers textile decoration thermoweldable products for cutting and printing. They also supply and support an extensive range of equipment from world renowned manufacturers like Roland, GCC, LaserPro, DGI and Summagraphics.

Apparently, Europoint have launched an appeal as they believe that Grafityps use of a chilled application fluid used to apply these graphics is an infringement of the rules – they should have been applied dry 😕
