• Gonna be on TV

Sorry if this isn’t the right forum, I just don’t want it in the generally available forums

We’ve been filmed removing and refitting 2 swinging signs we’ve done for the Channel 5 Hotel Inspector, just put them back up Tuesday morning.

No money involved, just a promise of some exposure from it, not sure whether it’ll be good or bad but hey it was a break from the normal stuff :lol1:

Anyway I got to take down the signs about 15 times while the owner and Alex came out of the B&B, plenty of takes from various angles and then was filmed putting them back up loads of times with the owner standing there chatting away etc, my wife even got to insult him on camera 😀 though whether it’ll make the final cut will have to be seen.

So probably about 1 hour in total for what’ll be about 15 seconds on the program.

I’ll be told when it’s airing, they told me it’s been set for early in the season.

We cleaned off the original lettering and designed and printed the new faces on our Roland and refitted to the original aluminium plates. Not a lot of materials or time in total but it was a fun job.

Well done – good to hear you’ve got some TV exposure which can only be good for business

Be sure to post again the day the TV program airs so we can all see it. 😀

    Thanks guys.

Is the boat series the one with Guy Martin on? TT racer and a real character.
I’ve missed them as we don’t tend to watch much TV other than a few regular programs, my wifes a Bones and CSI’holic.

aye, thats the fella. the show is probably on bbc/iplayer if you want a nose. it’s very much in the same vein as Fred Dibnah as he restored stuff in traditional ways.
