    Hey Folks.

I saw this mentioned in phill’s book and it sounds very interesting.

Looking for opinions/info from anyone who has used it?

    Who are the best suppliers/makers?

Is it easy to work with?

Any potential problems i might run in to?

Is it good for long term use?

    etc

    Thanks.

the best version of photo-luminescent i have seen over the years has to be by oracal. i was shown their new version of this product a couple of months ago.
felt like a nice calender vinyl and was almost white. unlike the thick greeny-yellow type we normally see from this product. the adhesive was also just the same as a good vinyl instead of the usual gummy cheap adhesive you would find on the photo-luminescent. alround Oracals version knocks spots of what we have used over the years. cuts/weeds and applies well.

you can buy this through your local europoint branch.

Grafityp also do one, it is kinda green and I’ve never used it for cutting but it is a 10year cast material so good quality and will last

Its quite thick, got about 10m on a roll hanging on the rack. Quite spooky when you turn the lights off, this is still glowing. Although quite thick, the Grafityp stuff is certified for safety signage as it remains illuminated for over 2 hours, how does the Oracal stuff compare??

I’d be interested to know how the Oralite and Grafityp compare. Might have to get a sample of each and test them 🙂
