  • Glitter Effect for a visual, can it be done ?

    Hello Folks
My Niece has a dance wear shop and is in the process of moving to bigger premises, We decided that we would use the cut letters from her old sign, and re-do them in mirror vinyl with a pink outline, and after trying the chrome effect tutorials for corel on this site, I managed to show her the mirror effect, problem is the little witch wants a glitter background in black, I have explained to her that this is not an easy thing to show on paper, has anyone got any suggestions on how I can "sort of" show this effect, I know its a long shot but worth asking, im always learning,,,,,,Thanks

you could use a glitter effect over laminate – available from apa and probably others, I think grafytip as well. You could then request a small sample to show her the effect

If you have photoshop you can sort of create this by going into:-

1.type your text required (IN THE REQUIRED GLITTER COLOUR)
2.Blending options and set your stroke/outline in black to suit
    3.top bar and choose "FILTER"
4.Down to "TEXTURE" then the drop menu from there pick "GRAIN"
5.Play with the sliders to get your closest match

    Hope this helps

Or just photograph some glitter vinyl and use that as the background in the picture.
