    Hi all,

Just wondering if there is any way of getting a high resolution image off someone’s facebook page? I would like to make a present for a friend with a photograph that is on facebook.
I can’t seem to copy it . The only way is a screen capture with Corel, but the resolution would not be good enough for a small poster. I don’t want to ask them to mail me the photo as it would spoil the suprise…. Is there any other way to do this?!?

    Thanks 😀

Okay… forget it.. I found a way.. (saving the page and opening the image in Picasa… still don’t think it is good enough for what I want ….. never mind………

There is an option to save the pic to your PC. Just click on "DOWNLOAD" on the bottom left of the picture. Simples! 😀

Hmm not sure if I can describe this properly.
Click on your friends photo album so that you have thumbnails. Then right click on the image you want and choose the ‘Open link in new tab’ option. You should then have the old way of viewing pics on facebook. With Corel open, then drag the image into a new document. Should be the same resolution as was uploaded. If it was only 75 dpi then you are stuck. 🙁

Like Harry has already said at best you are only going to be able to download at the resolution it was uploaded at so there is a good chance the image is low res on the face book page. With that in mind there is only so much you will be able to do with it to try and improve the print quality.

    Thank you all.
I will have another fiddle with it.
Instead of a big poster… the present might become a smaller version. It is the thought that counts after all :lol1:
