I have a challenge with an imported eps file from a corel 10. I have converted the file so it will open in the gerber program, but when I want to select and plot there is no image just a cross in green, 😕

    Which Gerber program? Advantage?

I always used to export as an .ai(ver 1.0) for vectored images from corel 9 and tiff for bitmaps.

    Worked perfecto.

    Ian,

you could try exporting it as a plt file to a drive then open it in omega and save it back as you would ordinarily do.

We have the same problem with advantage.
The other way is to ungroup, then give everything a very small outline and delete the imported line. This although labourious works for us.

    Just an idea.

Omega can sometimes say unknown file format importing eps files from Corel or Illustrator.

Open in Corel save as ai, convert text to curves, and make sure you save up as high as Illustrator 6 and it should open fine, you can try to open as print or cut colours.

Any problems send the file to me and I will try and fix it for you.
