Gerber Edge Issues, Initiating message not progressing, help

Hi Folks,
I have a ‘spare’ edge, an Edge 1 I think it is.
It will not kick in, all the LCD screen says it ‘Initiating’ and it won’t go any further. I have looked for another post similar to this here, but struggled so far. Has anyone any advice/knowledge on this, or can recommend a reputable source.. outside of a place in Bristol & their prices of course?

Just a guess…

On our edge 2 there is a covered button on the display area that resists the machine ( I think)

Thank You Denise,
I will look into this.
It is a ‘spare’ printer to be honest, and I am moving premises/home very soon and want to take the opportunity of trying to run it up then. Hopefully I’ll have a back up in situ as all of my work is done on an Edge or my Ioline Classic plotter..
