I’ve only got Generic Banner, no generic banner 2 so maybe they were talking about the normal vinyl profiles?

For PVC banner I tend to use PVC banner then if "pop" is called for I’ll use "max impact" setting

About 7-8 years ago when we bought one of the first Grenadiers with the original Activasol inks. we were given a limited bunch of profiles. Fast forward all these years and even though we switched inks to colorific Bio Inks. we still use same profiles and still get great results. and we do chop and change, try new media all the time. maybe we arent over fussed on output, but "i do think we are".
anyway… bit of a worthless post, sorry! 😀 just think it strange the more and more new inks coming on the scene, the more i see profiling problems and the like. guess it could come down to a great many things. 😕

sorry, just thinking out loud. :lol1:

I don’t think it’s too bad a problem Rob, I switched my Cadet from the Elite inks to the Roland Max inks and have found that the profiles provided by Roland in Versaworks work on everything I’ve tried so far.

I’ve just done a canvas print using the normal vinyl profile and it’s come out great, good colour and vibrant.

I think sometimes it’s the colours chosen in the design that don’t match expectations after seeing it on screen.

Is there any other settings i should be looking at when printing apart from the colour pallet, we are getting different output on same job when we changed from X3 to X5, we use a corel standard CMYK and RGB pallet but same jobs printed from versaworks on same profile come out different?
The x3 being brigher, but we have changed to X5 and want to stay that way. ?
We got the banner2 profile sent to us, many thanks

There are some differences in how X5 handles colour, I think there was a discussion about it last year and someone from Corel said how to set up the colour management so it was similar to X3, do a search in the corel forum on this site.

Have you had chance to try the profiles yet, is it a Roland profile and did Roland provide it?
