Hi Peter, I’m from SEQ (Logan City)
Good to have you here mate.
You have probably made Dave Lowery’s day.
The average aussie on these boards usually steers away from subjects like sport, especially cricket and especially with Dave. :lol1:
You don’t discuss Rugby with the Kiwi’s on here either, unless we wipe the floor with them of course, but that will not happen anytime soon.
Best stick to ‘safe subjects’ like crochet, lawn bowls or Darts.
On the subject of cricket tho, they can leave warnie at home, as long as they have blind umpires like the second test.
As far as I can see, England has two extra men on the field 👿 😮 🙄 😉

Ignore him Peter, he’s a closet England supporter :lol1:

:lol1: :lol1: Cost me $2K to fly over there and Lowery gets a priceless photo for free!! :lol1: All I got was a hat with signatures all over it 😉
Welcome again Peter. They are not all nutters like Dave…… some are worse 😮

Thanks for the greetings from everyone!
I know what you mean about the umpiring but we still have 3 more to go so hopefully we can get some of those 50-50 calls although i havent seen some of those decisions since the Chinese womens swimming team werent on steroids.
Cheers

I’m just asking because I’m toying with the idea of coming over to work….Hi Mate, not sure about up north but a fair bit of unemployment in the game here, We are all busy, but most shops are working harder with fewer staff, rather than putting new guys on.
I get calls every month from sign guys out of work, so its an employers market at the moment.
Only work for casuals I’d say. Worth contacting the sign association here tho and asking them the question. signs.org.au

Hi Mathew
The signs side of things in Sydney is really up and down. We are flat out for a couple of weeks, then it goes pretty quiet. It seems that there are alot of people getting into the sign game after they get retrenched from there banking careers and decide to buy a printer, software or franchise and all of a sudden they are sign writers trying to take a piece of the shrinking pie. Which can get a little frustrating but we do alot of chalk art around the place which keeps us busy.
cheers
Pete
