it has always been an issue which is why it never really took off, thats not to say there aren’t materials out there that work. Siser does a heat applied clear that helps to protect the print the other is to make sure the profiles and print temp is correct just because print looks good doesn’t mean its bitten in. Try speaking with Grafityp they do Siser products

thanks kevin, i have been looking at the laminate that siser do.

one problem is, i was buying transfers in and been supplying that same logo for a year with no problem, until i print my own and they are terrible after a wash 🙁 at my wits end

Did you leave to gas off for 24 hrs?

We too have had similar problems with the mimaki, leaving longer before pressing onto a garment helps

yes denise was also left for 24 hours after pressing onto the shirt too.

i sent samples back to where i purchased it from, but as its the weekend they are closed.

i cant find anywhere to check the temperature kevin spoke of ?

printer heater is fixed at 35 degrees on the bn 20 since found that out, which matches vinyl spec.

you need to leave prints before pressing as the heat from the press will cure the ink before gasses have have escaped, not saying it will cure problem but worth trying. Was your original supplier using a Roland, not used a BN20 so can only go on my previous machines. Speak with Roland as well they have a wealth of knowledge.

Garment printing can be frustrating at times.

We have polos that have a printed badge type logo on them, we have a clean polo every day, so they get washed at least twice a week. The logo is still visible, yes alittle faded now after at least 12 months wear.

Yet we too have had customers who have complained about the logo fading.

While we give out washing advise and they always say I washed it on a cool wash, sometimes you gotta think – are you sure you washed it correctly :banghead: :banghead:

Leave 24 hours before pressing, cool wash, and no where near the tumble dryer!! We have found xpres, and the magic touch soldark, are the most hard wearing transfers! Goodluck

the outcome,

i was sold media which is not compatible with "eco sol max 3" inks

the company gave me a refund on the media i purchased, and to compensate sent me media that appears to be performing well and holding its colour after washing.
