Do both the sticky and non sticky side have the same frosted effect?
I want to apply some frosted vinyl with lettering cut out on to perspex and the vinyl will be on the inside of the perspex facing out.

I’m presuming place the frosted vinyl into my plotter and reverse the lettering so when its applied on the inside the lettering will be correct.
I’ve never used frosted vinyl before nor cut back to front cut so I’m unsure of how to go about it.

    Many thanks

Best bet would be to speak to suppliers and get then to send you some samples, some vinyls don’t look as good from the back in my opinion and there are different types of frosted/crystal vinyl available.

As for plotting in reverse you can either mirror it on screen before you plot or most cutting software has the option to mirror when you go to plot. No difference at all when it comes to applying.

In my experience, yes, the same both ways. After all, it is designed to be seen from both sides, isn’t it?

Lorraine, I’m not sure it has been designed to be the same from both sides, it may be just a nice bonus that it does. While I would agree that a plain frost does look the same i still believe that some of the dusted and crystal vinyls don’t look as good, maybe something to do with lighting on the ones I have seen or the fact that you are veiwing it through the glass.

Or maybe I’m just being to fussy :lol1: :lol1:
